Umbra the Wolf - Sonic Boom

Here we have Umbra "Boomified" as I like to call it, sports tape and lanky legs. Seriously though, it was interesting trying out a different set of proportions with this one and I hope I got it close to the Sonic Boom style.

Like always I struggled mostly with the hands, particularly the right one. I had to redraw that so many times the paper got stained too much and made it more difficult to draw the elements I wanted.

It was kinda tricky trying to design him new clothes, particularly with his cuffs. I was going for a look where his gloves were custom made to hold the Omni Rings in place via straps so they can't slip off easily. Wasn't sure what I was thinking about the socks, I was running on empty when I designed those. And the sports tape is just to keep with the style of Sonic Boom. And lastly the device on his arm is a communicator based on what Sonic had on his wrist in episode one.

I gotta say the whole Sonic Boom series has inspired me to think up a fresh start for my characters without having to give up on what they are currently. I've been giving this a lot of thought and have written down some ideas of what they would be like in this new universe: -

PREMISE:
In the Sonic Boom universe, Team Eclipse are still a group of 4 with Umbra, Ruby, Lunas and Rej, only instead of running a Treasure Hunters for Hire business they have a more general For Hire business that does numerous odd jobs (Treasure Hunting, Bodyguards, House Painting, Babysitting, car/machine repairs, etc). The team still lives in a converted warehouse, only its less modern and more like a large wooden barn (like the warehouse in the Buster episode), and is within walking distance from the same town Sonic goes to. The team go about their lives while also having to deal with Hex the Bat, an evil witch that tries to steal Umbra's magic Omni Rings using whatever new scheme or monster she comes up with. As with everything in the Boom universe, the team and their adventures are more light hearted and less serious for the most part, even their relationship with Hex, while still antagonistic with plenty of hate from both sides, you're just as likely to see Hex hanging around town for a day off or visiting the Team's warehouse to file a complaint, as you are likely to see her terrorizing everyone with a new monster.

UMBRA THE WOLF
The lead hero of the team, Boom!Umbra is mostly unchanged from the Prime!Umbra as far as abilities and personality go, though he is less serious this time and more likely to make quips on his enemies. Unlike the Prime version, Boom!Umbra is not in a relationship with Ruby, she's just his best friend/boss though there are occasional hints of attraction between them, not that they'll admit it. He still rides around on a Hoverboard/Extreme Gear (whatever they're called in Boom) and is skilled enough to use it in battle. Umbra still wields the Omni Rings which grant him Spell Bolt attacks (orbs of energy he can toss and make explode) as well as short-range teleportation, though they grant different abilities to different people. The Omni Rings are also why Hex is targeting Umbra and his friends so she can use them to amplify her powers.

I'll post the rest of the ideas on my Journal if anyone is curious or feel like giving their opinions.
